Brian Tan from HoF gives class to SYB students

This Sunday 21st March at 10 am, Brian Tan from House of Flour will give a class demonstration on how to make one of his renowned chocolate cakes to the orphan students from Shanghai Young Bakers.

Brian will then share with his students his own working experience as a baker, and give them advice on how to build their careers after they graduate this August.

The founder of House of Flour, Brian Tan has a rich and varied experience working as a pastry chef in five-star hotels throughout the world, from Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, London to the Caribbean and Kyoto, amongst other places.

At House of Flour Company, Brian currently manages not only a central kitchen which supplies bakery and pastry to major hotels and restaurants in Shanghai, but also one well successful House of Flour restaurant, one C by House of Flour café, and the latest hoF chocolate & cocktail lounge. A hoF Bar & Brasserie is due to open in early summer 2010.

Brian将会与学生们分享他作为烘焙师的工作经验,并为他们毕业后的职业选择提供建议。

榖屋的创立者Brian Tan有着丰富的工作经验,从吉隆坡、新加坡、伦敦到加勒比、京都,他曾经担任了世界上诸多五星级酒店的西点主厨。

在榖屋,Brian现在不仅管理着中央厨房,向上海的主要宾馆和餐厅供应面包和西点,而且管理着穀屋餐厅和穀屋咖啡馆,最近,还新增了穀屋巧克力和鸡尾酒。2010年夏初,穀屋的酒吧也将开业。
