Class:Last Class before SYB goes for the summer break

 

 

 

 

 

 

What do you crave for most in the summer? A cool and refreshing treat? Or something delicious? Let SYB fulfill all your wishes! Mint, mousse, chocolate, mango… this is the taste of summer!

SYB will have its last pastry class before the summer break on 1st July, where Teacher Ines will guide everyone on how to bake two summer styled desserts – Dark Chocolate Mint Mousse Cake and Mango Tart.

 

Dark Chocolate Mint Mousse Cake

Mint mousse is adapted from the traditional mousse, to create a special taste for the summer. Look forward to an exceptional sensation with cool mint, which can often be found in desserts and cocktails.

No matter the weather, rain or shine, this mint treat will surely help to freshen up your mood!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

At the bottom of the cake and inside the mousse, you can find premium Valrhona chocolate for a richer and fuller taste. Find goodness in the different cake layers with the soft and cool mint mousse that had been frozen in the fridge, and chocolate bits hidden in between to give a satisfying crunch.

To finish off, pink meringue will be prepared by SYB for you to decorate your cake!

【Mango Tart】

With a crisp tart shell and soft filling, this classical French tart has a light milky scent and rich mango goodness.

Needless to say, the shell is the deciding factor for the success of the tart. It takes some real skill to be able to control the crispiness of the tart while ensuring that it is not be fragile. Once you master the tart shells, you can move on and get creative with making your own DIY tarts!

A few simple ingredients are all it takes to make something authentic and delicious, and hopefully add some colour to your summer! Besides, our teachers will also purchase fresh mangoes in person to ensure maximum taste!

Since this class will be the last before SYB goes for the summer break, there will be a surprise gift for all participants! Come on down to find out what this mystery gift is, and spend your summer time with Shanghai Young Bakers!
