Silliker trained the Young Bakers on Food safety and hygiene measures

When the Young Bakers arrived in Shanghai, they were unaware of how essential hygiene rules were to the F&B professional environment. Therefore, from day one, SYB teachers teach them strict hygiene rules.  In addition, for the fifth consecutive year, Silliker accepted to visit our Baking Center to give students a more thorough training about the basic hygiene rules and food safety measures. Having such a professional training is an asset for the students, as it will enable them to assimilate the rules faster.

On September 23rd, Yili Gu started the two hours session with the students by raising awareness about personal hygiene. The second part of the training focused on food safety, such as respecting the cold chain, temperatures, products traceability, licenses etc.  Silliker is specialized in auditing hotels and food companies. Yili Gu is an expert in regulation processes and traceability issues. She stated concrete examples of permitted and prohibited rules enforced inside professional kitchens. This interactive training offered students a better understanding of the importance of hygiene, food safety and its regulations in a professional environment.

Students actively participated in this training, eager to learn about all of these issues. They will now be more aware of the good habits to adopt and the rules they should follow during their training and future career.

On behalf of the Young Bakers, we would like to warmly thank Yili for providing this essential training and Silliker Shanghai for supporting SYB!
