There are many reasons as to why people love bread; it could be because of its taste and texture, the art and craft behind it or the magic that happens when dough transforms into bread. Join us for the first Level 2 class of the year for an in-depth study of the science behind bread! If you are a baking enthusiast or someone who is passionate about social impact, this is a class not to be missed!

5月20日,一起来参加制作乡村面包、罗勒恰巴塔、牛奶土司的面包中级课程吧!

As a charity organization, Shanghai Young Bakers is committed to providing free French bakery and pastry training for marginalized Chinese youths aged 17 to 23, based on the philosophy of “Give an orphan some bread, you feed for one day; teach him how to bake, you feed him for a lifetime!” 184 bakers have graduated from Shanghai Young Bakers since its establishment 9 years ago, and they are now able to support themselves and their families while pursuing a career in the baking industry where they are able to let their talents shine. In 2011, SYB set up its own social enterprise and its activities include public baking classes, corporate teambuilding activities, professional training, technical consulting services, weekend markets, catering and bakers’ baskets. Through these activities, SYB hopes to garner more support from the public for its charity programme while allowing everyone to enjoy French bakery and pastry!

海上青焙坊作为一家公益组织,致力于为中国17-23岁贫困青少年提供1年的免费法式烘焙培训,达到“授人以鱼不如授人以渔”的理念追求。成立9年来,共培养了184名烘焙师,他们现都能够自力更生,并在全世界的烘焙领域发光发热。2011年,海上青焙坊成立了“社会企业”板块(如周末对外烘焙课程、周末市集、团建活动等),希望通过市场性的活动来汇集更多的人支持我们的公益项目,同时将公益理念散播出去,让更多爱好烘焙也热心公益的人参与到我们活动中来。

我们的专业烘焙师——张帅,将会带领大家制作以上的美味面包,抓住这个既可以提高手艺又可以支持公益的机会吧!
