Greetings from Shanghai Young Bakers: in this Golden Week holiday period, Shanghai Young Bakers wish you a very pleasant and enjoyable time wherever you are.
We would also like to thank you for your supports for SYB at Jiashan Market and Commune Market in September. We attended Jiashan Market on 7 Sep. and 21 Sep.; Commune Market on 14 Sep., right after we had welcomed our new 12th batch of students. Thanks to you and many other people, SYB, in partnership with our sister charity Village 127, has sold in total near 3600 RMB of charity bakery in all three markets we attended in September. Even at Jiashan Market on 21 Sep. when the weather was rather unpleasant, SYB still managed to sell over 1000 RMB of bakery product!
We are very grateful to your very kind supports to our charity programme and hope that you have enjoyed the bread made by our SYB graduates working at Village 127. Your purchases would be used to fund our charity programme of giving disadvantaged Chinese youth with high-quality French bakery and pastry training for free.

This achievement cannot be accomplished without our market team. Our market team normally consists of our bakery and pastry teachers (Liu Dong and Wang Jingyi) and volunteers. It is worth noting that all our market volunteers, including our current Market Coordinator, Cheng Jing, are females working in Shanghai in different industries. They devote their precious time to our social enterprise activities and have contributed a lot to our charity cause. SYB would also like to thank our volunteers and our teachers for their great work. We look forward to welcome new and familiar volunteers at markets.
In this October, SYB will continue attending markets with delicious bread freshly baked by our graduates working at Village 127.

These charity bread from Village 127 will be available at our booth at Jiashan Markets on 5 Oct and 19 Oct. If you haven’t tried them before, this is the right time to come. Notably, SYB will attend this year’s Wine & Dine Festival in Shanghai on 18-20 Oct.—remember to check our channels to know the exact time and location, as well as to see what we will do. If you could not make it this month, no worries because we have planned to attend twice Jiashan Market every month until January next year, with some possible special offers for the market before Christmas!
