Miss California bakes pistachio breads with the students from Shanghai YoungBakers!

On Friday, December 9th 2011, 3:30-5:00pm, Shanghai Young Bakers is glad to welcome the American Pistachio Growers in our Baking Centre for an exceptional charity donation with Miss California 2011!

Miss California 2011, Noelle Freeman, whose grandma is from Tianjin, is very excited to visit China and promote American pistachios’ nutritional and flavor benefits as part of “The Power of Pistachios” campaign tour. This campaign was designed by the APG, a voluntary agricultural trade association representing American pistachio growers, processors and industry partners, and official sponsor of snack for Miss California.

Noelle is not only pretty and healthy; she has attended charity activities since the age of 8 and still volunteers actively to help autistic children, in particular through the platform “A promising future for Autism”. In her opinion, charity goes beyond boundaries and she really looks forward to interacting with Chinese youth. Therefore, she thinks the climax of the tour may be the charity donation at Shanghai Young Bakers, where she’ll bake bread together with SYB students, who come from underprivileged backgrounds.
