In order to ensure the long-term sustainability of the programme and the high quality of the training, Shanghai Young Bakers needs to set up its own independent baking centre, equipped with all the material that is necessary to teach traditional French bakery.

From February 2009 to January 2010, Christine Bakery generously lent us their baking centre to conduct the classes. However, their centre is far from the school, generating high costs and long hours in transportation.

Since February 2010, the students have been following the French bakery classes at Caoyang Vocational School, where they live. However the material there is more adapted to Chinese pastry classes and is insufficient for the students to understand and practice bakery in a professional environment.
